Senile kyphosis occurs when you get old and age. This decreases bone mass and increases risk of fractures. Usually and underlying condition is the main cause of senile kyphosis. Peopl may not notice or feel when they are developing senile kyphosis but overtime, it can affect other body systems. Some of the symptoms for senile kyphosis are dificulty sleeping, difficulty breathing, and feeling full after eating little. Treatment for this disorder is to treat the underlying condition with medication and surgery if needed. Also invasive procedures like kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty can help correct the vertebral deformity and relieve pain.
